When I was a child, I dreamed of being a writer.

But as I grew up, this dream (like so many childhood dreams) was pushed aside and left unfulfilled.

It was many years until my childhood passion of becoming a writer resurfaced when a change in personal circumstances forced me to look at my life and consider why I was making the life decisions I was.

In this time, I realised that my life so far has felt like a check box exercise: the achievements I’d made only worthwhile because I felt like they were things I should be doing, things I should have, rather than things I wanted or things that brought me joy.

So, in the summer of 2018, I decided to take the first steps towards fulfilling a dream I’d almost forgotten, and started pursuing a career in copywriting.

On this website, I hope to consolidate as much of my writing as possible, with links to published work and the ability to contact me for examples of any particular style or topic of writing you might be interested in.

I hope you enjoy reading some of my articles, assignments, blogs, and advertisements as much as I enjoyed researching and writing them.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me for any further information.

education & Employment

Although my dream in primary school was to become a writer, this dream was abandoned for many years until I rediscovered it in 2018. In the meantime, I aspired to be an actress, psychologist, lawyer, and all sorts of other ambitious careers to fulfil the sense of longing I’d only really satisfied writing short stories in my childhood years.

In pursuit of these various ambitions, I obtained 11 GCSEs (10 of which were A* – B grades, plus a C in French), 3 A-Levels (Bs in English literature, psychology and sociology) and an Upper Second Class Honours Degree in Law, which I completed in just 2 years.

Since graduating from my law degree, I moved away from a legal career and found myself embedded in the world of financial services; offering assistance to those with investments in a wide variety of stocks, shares and funds. Other than financial services, I have also been involved in hospitality, promotional and sales work, recruitment consultancy and new starter helpdesk training. (You can view my full employment history on LinkedIn)

My variety of experiences have enabled me to see the world from different perspectives and understand how each sector works with each other, even when they seem far removed. I have a keen eye for detail and excel at making complex theories easy to understand, making me an excellent training facilitator and copywriter, as well as assisting me in obtaining such a high-level degree in a short time.
